But, oh my, how they then ruined the whole thing by claiming a holier-than-thou: “Atom employees said they’d used the day off to spend time with children, go on long walks with dogs or volunteer for a charity.” Yeah, right.

With the Property Awards’ entries deadline falling today, we now have to find something else to do for our inactive clients. To be fair, our clients are actually feeling more optimistic than they were at the end of last year, when Armageddon was forecast.

For new business, we are targeting newish companies that are generally on the front foot, looking for opportunities and don’t have refinancing issues. It seems to be a half-decent strategy, as we have two or three conversations going on about 3/4k a month work.

What is more concerning is the potential for AI-generated press releases putting us out of work. You can submit 100 words into an AI website and it will give you a press release. We gave it a go and the AI press release lacked the detail, but it actually wasn’t bad on the general feel and messaging.
