Hammerson undertook a retail agency shake-up across its shopping centre portfolio, in which some joint agents were culled as specialists were drafted in, following a strategic review of its leasing process.
The retail giant launched a “targeted leasing approach” that would review its letting agents every six months to ensure they were meeting the needs of its centres.
In May this year, under new boss Rita-Rose Gagné, the company hired consultants McKinsey & Company to advise on its latest strategic review, which is now ongoing as it hopes to recover in the wake of the pandemic.
