The London mayoral election came to an end, with Sadiq Khan taking 57% of the final vote to beat Conservative candidate Zac Goldsmith.
Former Labour MP Khan had pledged in his campaign to be the most “pro-business mayor of London yet”.
His win met with a positive welcome from the property industry, with JLL boss Guy Grainger calling it a “promising boost” for the city.
Khan’s pledges around affordable housing also proved to be a popular vote winner, with the capital’s lack of affordable housing forming one of the key debates of the election.
