Bank of China (Hong Kong), V and ING Bank closed what at the time was the UK’s largest real estate financing deal, when they jointly secured funding for CC Land’s £1.15bn acquisition of City of London skyscraper the Cheesegrater.

The three banks acted as joint lead arranger, bookrunner, co-ordinator and hedge co-ordinator, providing financing for the acquisition of The Leadenhall Building by the Hong Kong-listed real estate company.

Last year, CC Land refinanced the Cheesegrater in a £650m deal, with HSBC HK and HSBC UK returning to co-ordinate the £650m transaction.
