CBRE, JLL, Colliers International and Avison Young all delayed their 2020 graduate programmes to early 2021 as a result of the pandemic, while Knight Frank carried on with its scheme as planned.

Savills also went ahead with its programme but switched to virtual learning and cut its intake from 127 in 2019 to 104, which it said was not related to Covid-19.

This year, the agencies boosted their intake of graduates in the residential sector. Savills expects to take on 120 graduates this month and CBRE 48 graduates, up from 43 in 2020 and 26 in 2019.
