Buy-to-let squeeze set to send rents higher

The RICS has predicted that the squeeze on buy-to-let landlords will cause rents to rise by around 15% over the next five years.

It has recorded falling levels of instructions in the lettings market for eight consecutive quarters, which it blamed on smaller landlords being forced out of the buy-to-let market by tax increases.
