Student accommodation company Victoria Hall has won a planning appeal over its plans to develop a £25m apartment block near Wembley Stadium.

Victoria Hall, part of privately owned Irish property company O’Flynn Group which also owns Tiger Developments, was planning to develop 435 student rooms at the site next to Wembley Park station.

Despite support from Brent Council planning officers and the Greater London Authority, the scheme was refused planning permission in February last year by Brent councillors.

The scheme has now been granted consent following a public inquiry into the proposals.

The development, designed by architects CZWG, is split into three wings around a central tower. The building extends up to 20 storeys high.

Work will start on site towards the end of this year with the scheme expected to complete in mid 2011.
