Exemplar Properties has been selected by the Canadian High Commission as its preferred partner for the redevelopment of its MacDonald House building on Grosvenor Square building in London’s West End.
It is thought that the deal will involve the redevelopment of the 135,000 sq ft MacDonald House on Grosvenor Square and the development of a 150,000 sq ft chancery building near the flagship Canada House on Trafalgar Square.
No site has been selected yet for the development of the chancery building but it is thought there is a shortlist of potential locations including a site on the Mall and on Spring Gardens.
The Canadian High Commission selected Exemplar, headed by Daniel Van Gelder and Clive Bush, ahead of under bidder Stanhope.
All parties declined to comment.
