At Christie + Co we work across such a variety of sectors and understand that our clients and potential clients will all feel the effect of the election outcome, particularly as a hung parliament is looking likely.

The commercial property market is susceptible to the impact of general elections as many business owners take a wait and see approach.

Some of the issues facing our sectors include prioritising the support for tourism and leisure services given its importance as a considerable employer in the UK. The integration of the NHS and social sare has been high on the agenda during the election campaign and we look forward to absolute clarity on this following the election.

One of the key isues that sits across all the sectors in which we work is the hope that business rates will be reformed rather than meddled with time and time again, and particularly a reduction in red tape for small business.
