BPIC Network is a built environment inclusion network that collaborates with industry organisations to increase ethnic minority representation and retention. It provides inclusion guidance, career opportunities, training, and networking events tailored to those currently working and aspiring to work in the industry.

BPIC

It seeks to create an aspirational platform for those seeking to join the built environment. The vision is to facilitate careers in construction as well as work with organisations looking to improve their diverse representation including the advancement of black and ethnic minority professionals.

Its mission is to promote the built environment industry while increasing ethnic minority participation by empowering and educating individuals along the way. It champions the importance of diversity within the industry by directly providing solutions for organisations to create inclusive work environments and attract a diverse workforce.

BPIC 100 initiative

Within the Talent part of the business, it has the initiative BPIC 100, which it started with an aim of getting organisations to commit to engaging with 100 apprenticeships, graduates, and internships to help kick start those early careers. BPIC engages with corporate companies, that share the same values on diversity and inclusion, companies that care about increasing the participation of black and ethnic minority individuals in the built environment.

Its BPIC Ambassador, Julian Eley, senior project manager at BW Workplace Experts, is currently taking part in the Jungle Ultra 2023, an epic self-sufficient foot race in the Rain Forest in Peru. He has already raised 92% of his target with funds being donated to support BPIC Early Careers. More info to donate and support the initiative.
