The British Property Federation (BPF) represents the UK real estate sector, an industry that invests in communities across the UK, providing a wide range of high-quality homes, workplaces, health, education, and warehousing facilities that people and businesses rely on every day.
By building and managing more urgently needed homes, it is raising standards and choice across the industry, providing 2.7 millions jobs – one in every 13 jobs in the UK - for people of all ages across a huge range of roles.
With buildings accounting for around 25% of all UK greenhouse gas emissions, the BPF says the sector has an essential part to play in helping Britain to achieve its target of a net zero economy by 2050. That’s why it is working together to speed up efforts to tackle climate change. By upgrading existing buildings, refurbishing heritage architecture and ensuring all new developments are built more sustainably, it is helping to protect the planet for future generations.
