Assura prepares GP surgeries for combined impact of flu and second wave of Covid-19

Primary care investor Assura has said it is preparing for the “combined challenges of winter flu and Covid-19” in a half-year trading update to investors.

The group’s chief executive, Jonathan Murphy, said Assura’s 576 GP surgery, primary care, diagnostic and treatment centre buildings around the country would play a key role “in the NHS’s efforts to address waiting lists and pent-up demand moving through and beyond this winter”.
