Intu CEO hails 'double benefit' of PRS move

Fischel says developments will increase both land values and customer numbers.

Fischel, who is considering a £2.9bn consortium bid led by his deputy chairman John Whittaker, told Property Week that intu Lakeside in Essex offered the “biggest opportunity” in its plans to develop around 5,000 private rented sector (PRS) homes, almost 600 hotel rooms and office development on 470 acres around six of its out-of-town centres.
