Mothercare creditors approve CVA plan

Creditors have approved Mothercare’s plans to close up to 50 stores as part of its company voluntary arrangement (CVA) proposal.

 Under the plan it will seek to close 50 of its 137 UK stores by 2020, and ask for rent reductions on a further 21.Taking into account previously planned store closures; the company said it would have a store portfolio of 78 stores by the end of the 2020 financial year.
