Neuberger Berman takes minority stake in Round Hill Capital

Michael Rees Dyal Capital

Private equity firm Neuberger Berman has taken a minority stake in real estate investment and asset management firm Round Hill Capital through its Dyal Capital division.

Dyal Capital Partners seeks to acquire minority equity interests in institutional alternative asset management businesses worldwide and has made a strategic investment to take on a passive, non-voting, minority stake in Round Hill. According to both parties, the investment will make “no changes” to Round Hill’s strategy, investment process or day-to-day operations.

Investor Round Hill has recently sought to significantly increase its presence in the student accommodation sector. Last month, Property Week revealed that Round Hill was set to enter into exclusive talks with Watkin Jones to forward-fund a package of seven student housing developments with a GDV of £250m.
