Capital & Counties (Capco) has fuelled speculation of a takeover attempt of Shaftesbury by taking its shareholding in the group to more than 25% today.
Following this morning’s announcement from Shaftesbury that it is seeking to raise up to £307m via a share placing Capco committed to subscribe for £65m of the shares at 400p a piece.
