HB Reavis UK chief executive Steven Skinner on why he thinks the company’s ethos of putting office occupiers first is the way forward for developers.

The setting is apt. HB Reavis’s London HQ is an exemplar of the cutting-edge sustainable development that under Skinner, HB Reavis is intent on delivering more of.

It is all about putting the occupier first, says Skinner in his first interview since being appointed as chief executive in August 2018.

What they want is sustainability and flexibility, which are not as easy to deliver as they sound, but deliver them developers must – and that requires a dramatic change in the current mindset, he says.
