Middle Eastern developer DAMAC snapped up the ‘Jenga’ tower development – nicknamed for its design incorporating large interlocking blocks — in Nine Elms for around £600m.
The New Bondway scheme was sold by a joint venture between Citygrove and McLaren and was the first UK purchase for the Dubai-based luxury tower specialist.
Designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox, the 50-storey tower at 69-71 Bondway comprises 450 flats alongside offices and retail units.
Lambeth Council had granted planning permission for the tower in 2014.
