Aldi to acquire Camden store as part of widespread Waitrose closures

Aldi has confirmed plans to acquire Waitrose’s store in Camden after the retailer’s owner John Lewis Partnership announced closures of five sites earlier today.

John Lewis Partnership announced plans to dispose of five Waitrose stores in the UK, including its Camden site, alongside a profit warning it which it predicted its profits in the first half of the year would be “close to zero”.
