Amazon pre-let kickstarts next phase of Verdion’s iPort

Online retail giant signs for 731,000 sq ft unit in second, 3m sq ft phase of Doncaster logistics hub.

The letting has triggered the launch of the second phase of development at the 800-acre scheme.

Amazon already occupies a 1.1m sq ft facility and a smaller unit at phase one but has opted for more space as it continues to grow exponentially in the UK.

Verdion will press ahead with the development of the new unit, which is set to be completed in the second quarter of 2020, and look to bring in more pre-lets.
