Atisreal has bought niche Leeds agency Hill Woolhouse, as tipped by Property Week last year.

The deal, known as Project Paul, will add 13 staff to Atisreal’s Leeds team – bringing its total to 38.

Hill Woolhouse, set up by Roger Woolhouse, Charles hill and Richard Dunhill in 1991, has an annual turnover of £2.5m and specialises in office agency, investment and out-of-town retail.

Ongoing expansion plans

Martin Coles, Atisreal’s executive director of regions, said the deal was a part of the consultancy’s ongoing expansion plans in the north and across the UK.

Hill Woolhouse chief Roger Woolhouse will become office head and will lead the management team.

The three other executives will be Atisreal’s acting office head Stephen Macey, Charles Hill from Hill Woolhouse and Francis Brown who was poached from Donaldsons/DTZ in October last year along with four other surveyors.

£12.5m

The latest acquisition means Atisreal has a £12.5m business in the North with 100 employees across Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield and Newcastle.

The deal will formally close on February 29 with Hill Woolhouse adopting the Atisreal brand from March 11.

Last year Atisreal also gained teams in Sheffield and Manchester by buying Fuller Peiser.

Atisreal was advised by London corporate firm Travers Smith while Hill Woolhouse was advised by Leeds and Bradford law firm Gordons.
