Boultbee Developments has embarked on its first small industrial unit development programme following the purchase of a site near Birmingham.

The developer paid owner Ngrid £530,000/ acre for the 3.75 acres Nechells site near junction 6 of the M6.

The scheme, named Boultbee Business Units, will house 20 units totalling 62,000 sq ft. These are expected to be completed in late 2007.

The deal sees Boultbee join a host of other companies looking to cash in on demand from small businesses for accommodation.

Nigel Jeffrey, Boultbee development director said: ‘This is the first of many projects of this type planned by Boultbee Developments.’

Ngrid was advised by GVA Grimley and King Sturge is to advise Boultbee.
