Capital & Counties has appointed King Sturge partner Gary Yardley to join as chief investment officer.

Yardley is a senior equity partner of King Sturge and managing director of its financial services company which he founded in 1995 after rejoining the partnership from PWC.

He will join Capital & Counties board in July 2007.

Yardley specialises in large scale mixed use public/private partnerships in the UK and was also responsible for the acquisition and management of many of the Eastern European offices of King Sturge.
