CB Richard Ellis has bought Liverpool property services firm Irving Rice, as tipped by Property Week (11.04.08).

CBRE bought the firm to expand its services in the North West. Irving Rice is particularly well known in the market for its occupier representation work.

The purchase price is unknown.

Irving Rice was set up in 1994 by Nick Rice and Malcolm Irving and has an eight-strong team.

Martin Samworth, UK managing director of CBRE, said: ‘Liverpool has become increasingly attractive to the UK business community and Irving Rice enhances the services we can offer to occupiers and owners located in the heart of the city.

‘It also reinforces our ongoing commitment to providing our clients with unmatched market insight and service capability across all UK regions.’
