The Museum of London is seeking to raise funds for its £18m redevelopment. The Times

Due to open in two years’ time, the revamp will take the museum forward to the modern day – at present it stops at 1914 and thereby missing important events such as the Blitz.

There have been innovative ways to raise money for the City’s museum. For example, firms can pay £5,000 to sponsor a year in its history with relevance to them, and John Lewis bought one only recently.

Nevertheless, the fund for the redevelopment is still £1.5m short.
