New lending in the UK commercial property market in the first six months of 2018 increased sharply even though the investment market was largely flat, the Cass Business School UK Commercial Real Estate Lending Report has revealed.
The report, which was previously produced by De Montfort University, found that origination volumes leapt 27% to £22.5bn in the first six months of 2018. Over the same period, investment volumes slipped 2% to €28.8bn (£25.4bn), according to Real Capital Analytics.
