Countrywide shares rise over pay reversal

Countrywide’s share price rose 0.82% on Monday to 14.2p after the company U-turned on its generous remuneration packages for senior executives.

The estate agency group saw its shares tumble over 50% earlier in the month after it revealed plans to raise £140m in a share placing to shore up its balance sheet as half-year results revealed further losses.
