Crossrail Elizabeth Line

The opening of Crossrail has been delayed again as Transport for London says the project needs an additional £1.7bn to be completed.

The Department for Transport is loaning £1.3bn for the scheme and the Greater London Authority is providing £100m in cash in order to cover the funding shortfall, which KMPG said could run to up to £1.7bn.
