Deyaar Development, the Dubai- based builder that stopped work on a quarter of its projects in the sheikhdom because of the economic crisis, is aiming to build low-cost homes near Beirut with Lebanon’s largest developer.

Deyaar will submit a proposal to Solidere, its partner in Lebanon, Chief Executive Officer Markus Giebel said yesterday in an interview at Deyaar’s headquarters. Solidere, controlled by Lebanon’s Hariri family and the prime minister-designate, worked with Deyaar on a luxury homes project this year.
