Brexit a factor behind £200m deal for Clerkenwell Collection falling out of bed.
As revealed by Property Week in October, the investor was in exclusive talks to acquire The Clerkenwell Collection, which is owned by the little-known Sheinman family.
It is understood that the firm, run by founders Kent Gardner and Paul Kendrick and former BNP Paribas Real Estate UK chief executive John Slade, had raised the cash for the deal, but contract complications and macroeconomic concerns, including Brexit, led to the decision to end negotiations.
