Four DTZ directors have left the company as the ongoing consultation continues at the global property services firm.

Property Week has learnt that directors Peter Mawson, Guy Varney, Brian Penman and Daniel Jefferies have left the company.

Mawson, former chief executive officer of Donaldsons, was involved in the integration of the UK businesses. In his most recent role at DTZ he managed operations for Europe Middle East and Africa, while maintaining contact with a number of public sector clients.

As a result of the management changes instigated by chief executive, Paul Idzik, Mawson has the opportunity to leave prior to the expiry of his formal lock-in period under the DTZ/Donaldsonspurchase deal.

Mawson said: “To have been involved over many years in the leadership of a profoundly people-oriented business, where staff and client relationships were paramount, has been an absolute privilege”.

Brian Penman was a director in DTZ’s development team while Guy Varney, who joined DTZ in 2006, was group corporate development director.

DTZ director Daniel Jefferies has also left.

It is thought the departures have been announced internally to DTZ staff this morning. The consultation period is not yet concluded.

DTZ confirmed staff had been informed of the departures today.
