Covent Garden London, owned by Liberty International, has signed up two new retailers for the area as part of its quest to improve the overall retail and leisure experience.
Fashion brand Ben Sherman has taken a 10 year lease on a 1,255 sq ft store on Long Acre. Garden accessories and fashion brand Francis Hilary, which featured at the Chelsea Flower Show, has taken a 1,000 sq ft unit for a 5 year period in the Market Building, joining other recent acquisitions Ella’s Bakehouse and Tea Palace. Rents were undisclosed.
Liberty’s Covent Garden has a vacancy rate of just 0.87% of the total lettable sq ftage. Footfall for September was 3.4m, a rise of 3.5% from September 2008 of 3.1m.
