HAMLEYS, the London toy store owned by Icelandic investor Baugur, is closing in on a deal to open its first store in India. Sunday Telegraph
The company has chosen a site in Delhi ans has found an Indian retail partner.
Hamleys’ management sees overseas expansion as a key growth area and is due to open its first standalone overseas store in Dubai later this year.
Further outlets are planned in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, and the company is also interested in China.
