Hammerson exchanges on £236m Highcross sale

Highcross Leicester compressed

Hammerson has exchanged contracts for the sale of a 50% stake in Highcross shopping centre in Leicester for £236m – a 5% discount to book value.

The stake has been sold to an Asian investor, represented by M&G Real Estate. Hammerson will continue to manage the centre, which is anchored by John Lewis & Partners, Debenhams and a Showcase Cinema de Lux.
