Heathrow third runway signed off by government - property reacts

The proposed expansion of Heathrow to incorporate a third runway has received sign-off from the government’s economic sub-committee chaired by Prime Minister Theresa May.

Having been approved by the sub-committee, the plans were rubber-stamped by the full cabinet to give the scheme outline planning permission. Following the approval, which Transport Secretary Chris Grayling said was taken in the “national interest”, MPs will now decide with a final vote on the plans later this month.
