Highbury Studios in North London will launch a ten-day cultural arts festival on Friday to highlight the development and cultural renaissance in the area.

The festival, called Designersblock:Illustrate, will open on September 14 and runs until September 23. It will also act as the launchpad for Electric Space, a new 11,500 sq ft venue.

Highbury Studios, which is being developed by Emirates stadium developer Antony Green & Spencer Group, is part of the regeneration of the area that the festival is aiming to draw attention to, which also includes the Emirates stadium and the Vizion residential development. It is a collection of commercial units from with rents from £17.50 / sq ft.

It is located below a residential block of 517 apartments. Stadium Residential, a subsidiary arm of the developer AGS, will take space in the Studios this month. Gym operator Fit Space has taken 9,500 sq ft and Tesco will soon open a new Express store on the site.
