Hilton has signed a franchise agreement for a new hotel at Peel Holding’s John Lennon airport in Liverpool.

The exclusive hotel chain has agreed to operate a 160 bedroom hotel at the airport under its ‘economy brand’ Hampton by Hilton.

The hotel, which will open in summer this year, is a part of Peel’s £37m development at the airport which includes a car park and links to the airport’s terminal building across a new bridge.

It is the second airport hotel in Manchester-based developer Peel’s portfolio following the opening of Ramada Encore at Robin Hood airport, Doncaster last year.

Hampton by Hilton targets the upper end of the budget hotels sector.
