Midlands based investor and developer Hortons’ has appointed an estate manager to take control of the asset management side of its business.

Richard Norgrove, who joins from Langtree group, will work under Rob Blyth, chief executive of Hortons.

Norgrove, 37, based in Sutton Coldfield has previously worked at Mountcity Group and overseen its Midlands portfolio for over ten years and more recently worked in Langtree Group’s Birmingham office.

Development pipeline

Rob Blyth, chief executive of Hortons said: ‘The continued growth and expansion of our portfolio has dictated the need for this important role, particularly in light of our flourishing development programme, and I am sure that Richard will prove to be a valuable member of the team.’

Norgrove said: ‘I am looking forward to working with Hortons’ and its specialist property team in developing a strategy of promoting and expanding the existing portfolio. I have admired the company’s approach from my own dealings with them in the past and look forward to being part of its exciting future.’

Hortons’ assets include a large holding in Birmingham city centre including the Piccadilly Arcade.
