IBM is to take a major letting at Kenmore Capital Portfolio’s Jackson House in Sale, south Manchester.

The software company is to take around 18,500 sq ft over the ground and first floor on a 10 year lease at a rent of £16.50/sq ft.

It will join other tenants including Chep UK and One Advice. It also follows the letting of 6,512 sq ft office space to AA Projects.

Jackson Heights

There is a further 60,000 sq ft of office space still available to let at the 127,145 sq ft building.

Kenmore Property Group, in a joint venture with HBOS, bought it from LaSalle Investment Management in 2006 and have carried out an extensive refurbishment programme.

Refurbishment programme

Ben Roberts, head of Kenmore’s Manchester office, said: ‘Since acquiring the building we have spent huge amounts of time and resource in refurbishing it and to address the inherent problems with the building which had driven tenants away prior to our ownership, including IBM.

‘The building now offers high quality facilities and performance which compares with any Grade A space in South Manchester.’

Savills and Canning O’Neill are joint letting agents. Atis Real acted for IBM.
