YOO, the design focused property development company led by personalities Philippe Starck and John Hitchcox, has embarked on a South American expansion.
The company, with design contributions from Jade Jagger, is working on the refurbishment of a 22-storey luxury residential building on Eighth Street and Roosevelt in the art district of Punta del Este in Uruguay in south America.
The scheme will comprise one and two bedroom apartments plus four deluxe penthouses, with floor areas that range from 645 to 1,076 sq ft.
The project is in partnership with US group K-Group Holdings based in Miami.
YOO currently has 41 projects representing 25,000 homes currently under development in 21 countries with an average gross development value of £100m per project.
