Jones Lang LaSalle has poached BH2 partner Dan Burn to join its City of London office agency team as a regional director.

Burn has been at niche city firm BH2 since 1997 and has worked for clients including Invista, RREEF and Tishman Speyer. He will report to JLL’s head of city agency Neil Prime.

Burning to go

‘Dan is a highly sought after and much respected agent in the City,’ said Prime. ‘His appointment demonstrates our continued investment in the team, it adds further strength and depth; and shows just how committed we are to delivering the best to our clients in good and bad markets.’

Tony Gibbon, partner at BH2, said Burns’ decision to leave follows BH2’s decision to alter the outlook of its business earlier in the year and supplement its economics and research team and increase ‘the already significant capital transactions profile and to slight alter its focus’.

Change of focus

He said: ‘Our leasing business has tended to be concentrated on large and/or longer term projects and the latter involves significant consultancy. This remains the plan going forward, as does working with specific principals.

‘Dan did not concur with our strategy and it was therefore inevitable that he would seek a position elsewhere. We wish Dan every success at Jones Lang LaSalle. From our perspective there is great excitement that our own plans, details of which will emerge in due course, can now be taken forward in earnest.’
