Kesa Electricals, which owns the UK’s Comet chain and Darty in France, is to add a Spanish retailer to its portfolio. Financial Times

Electrodomésticos Menaje Del Hogar, which is controlled by Impala Capital Partners and the Perez family, is to be bought for €100m (£67m), Kesa said yesterday.

The Spanish company’s net debt of €32m will be takenon as part of the deal, which is scheduled to be completed in the autumn.

EMH operates 54 stores in Spain and eight in Portugal. Last year it reported earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation of €17m on revenue of €271m.
