Kingston Council appoints Countryside for 2,000 home regen project

Countryside Cambridge Road Estate

Housebuilder Countryside has been appointed as the preferred development partner for Kingston Council’s proposed 2,000 home regeneration of the Cambridge Road Estate.

Countryside had faced competition from the Pinnacle Group and Places for People to be named joint venture partner for the 12-year redevelopment project, which will also include the creation of new community buildings and public realm alongside new mixed-tenure homes. The council’s proposals will increase the number of homes on the estate from 830 to around 2,000.
