Bradbury Hall Developments has submitted plans for a £20m hotel and office development on the outskirts of Chesterfield town centre.

The 100-room Casa Hotel and Office Scheme was designed by careyjones and will create 500 new jobs in the area and a further 100 during the construction process.

Steve Perez, chairman of Chesterfield-based Bradbury Hall Developments, said: ‘As a Chesterfield-based company, we are extremely proud to be part of this exciting landmark development, which will provide the town with a premier hotel, leisure and corporate destination.

‘The Casa Hotel complex will significantly boost the local and regional economy in terms of leisure and tourism growth and long-term job creation - particularly during the current economic climate.

The scheme is designed to complement the development along the A61 corridor at the Whittington Moor site - set to be the home of Chesterfield Football Club’s new 10,000 seat stadium and the relocation of a Tesco superstore.'

Mike Harris, director at careyjones architects, said: ‘Working with forward-thinking local developers, Bradbury Hall Developments, has allowed us to create a striking building, with strong sculptural form and an interior design concept that complements the contemporary architectural language.

‘We are confident that the proposals for The Casa Hotel and Office development will benefit the whole community as a great catalyst for the wider regeneration of this part of Chesterfield and an exemplar project in design and sustainability terms.’
