Land Securities today confirmed it had let 166,000 sq ft (15,421 sq m) at its New Street Square development on New Fetter Lane, EC4.

Law firm Taylor Wessing has agreed to occupy No.5 New Street Square on a 17-year lease. It will pay a range of rents across the property, rising to £50/sq ft (£538.20/sq m) on the upper floors.

Mike Hussey, managing director of Land Securities’ London portfolio, said: ‘ commented: ‘Legal and professional services occupiers have been target sectors for us in New Street Square. This letting further demonstrates the suitability of the accommodation for them. The Tower at 6 New Street Square is going to be a breathtaking new addition to London's skyline.’

Michael Frawley, Taylor Wessing’s managing partner added: ‘Our current home at has served us well for the past 13 years but we are fast outgrowing it. The new office space is also flexible enough to absorb our future growth and reflects our confidence in meeting our ambitious growth targets.’

The letting to Taylor Wessing follows the lettings of 2 and 3 New Street Square to Deloitte. There is 250,000 sq ft ( 23,225 sq m) of vacant office space and around 30,000 sq ft (2,787 sq m) of vacant retail space remaining on the scheme.
