Retailer cuts team to improve efficiency and speed up decision-making as it continues store closure programme.

Marks & Spencer has halved its team of leasing agents – standing down CBRE, Cheetham & Mortimer and DWR – as it continues its programme of store closures.

The retailer has cut its team of six property agents down to three, with Savills, MMX Retail and McMullen Wilson retained, in a bid to improve efficiency and speed up decision-making. Although CBRE is no longer a leasing agent for M&S it will still advise the retailer on development.
