Irish developer Naus Group has been given the green light to begin its first development in the UK at Birmingham.

Connaught Square

The company, led by chief executive Andy Tollet, has been granted planning consent from Birmingham planners for Connaught Square, a residential-led campus on a 4.5 acre site next to city’s coach station.

The decision marks Naus’ entry into UK property after more than 30 years of development in Ireland.

Six buildings

The scheme, fronting High Street Deritend, will include 658 appartments, a 180-bed hotel, 36 serviced apartments, shops, offices, bars, restaurants, more than 1,000 car parking spaces and two public squares. The scheme will comprise six buildings.
