Fashion retailer Next has taken possession of its store at Westfield London and will begin fit out ahead of the £1.6bn scheme’s December opening.

The 80,000 sq ft Next unit is one of five stores anchoring Westfield and Commerz Real’s development and is located in the North West corner of the centre adjacent to the BBC campus and the new Hammersmith and City Line Underground station.

Next has also unveiled the image of what its store will look like.

Iain Johnstone, development director at Westfield London, said: ‘Next is one of our key retail partners and its store at Westfield London will be the second they have opened with us from our development pipeline.’

Westfield has already handed over stores to Marks & Spencer and House of Fraser.
