Developer Oxford GB has secured planning permission to develop a 244-bed hotel development in Leeds city centre.
The hotel will be located on a site between Leeds Metropolitan University, Millenium Square and the proposed £80m Concert Arena.
It has been designed on a split level - part 14 storey and part 6 storey - and will include restaurant, bar and meeting room facilities.
Works is due to commence on site later this year
Manchester based HOW Planning provided planning advice.
Jon Suckley, principal at HOW Planning, said: ‘The new hotel will be a landmark building in Leeds city centre and will transform this piece of land into a stunning new leisure development which will complement the wider environment and further improve the profile of this area.’
