Ireland’s biggest bookmaker Paddy Power has opened its first betting shop in the north of England in Manchester this week, and has also signed up for its second site in the city.

The shop, which opened this week, totals 2,300 sq ft at Stockport Road in Levenshulme.

Paddy Power, advised by Colliers CRE, has also signed up for its second site in Manchester – a 1,380 sq ft unit in City Tower, Piccadilly Gardems.

It is looking to open 150 new shops throughout the UK.

Nick McAllester, associate director, retail at the Manchester office of Colliers CRE, said they were ‘actively seeking other locations for licensed betting shops.’
